What we did in Copenhagen on our second ExCo meeting

Almost as if the Congress in Croatia finished few days ago, there it was - meeting in Copenhagen was here, about to begin. Another chance to see the same good old faces: Mr. president (as I managed to blab when I saw her firstly in CPH ) Jean, Rangi (our faithfull and hardworking information officer). Boris (& inevitable hugging and kissing), Charlotte (with a few visions always on her mind) Val ( THE brainstormer of this meeting), Catherine who joined us the day after, the same as Phillip, our computer guru for this occasion. Unfortunately, Henrik couldn't join us, but as we found out later, he won't be joining us at all, due to some unpredicted circumstances - sorry to hear that! There were, ofcourse, all the Danish people we met and loved at the Croatia's Congress - Laerke, Vivi, Tina + some new: Chris, Signe, Tenna… who all took great care that we felt like home all the time.

So, as you can presume, we worked hard, concentrating on issues that were put in front of us , with meetings starting early at the break of dawn, finishing late in the evening…

Well, not exactly, but I can tell you we made quite a good job in that 3 days we had. Meetings just flew under Jean's guidance (hmm…as we see it, maybe it was because John was not arround to make fuss? ), with great assistance and fantastic ideas our dear Val came out with - thank you, Val, we'll never forget your efforts :) As the meeting table was getting more and more crowded with papers, magazines, food, personal belongings, laptops and stuff, (as you can see on the picture!) agenda was slowly coming down to it's end …

The organizers had some extra activities for us, too. They showed us around the Faculty premises (everybody told us about big gas explosion a year ago), and beautiful surroundings made a good scenery to take some exco pictures, as you can see..

Fabulous dinner that was carefully prepared (and not that carefully eaten) for us at Vivi's place was a great chance for all of us to get to know each other better, try our luck on throwing the dyce (unlucky-ones had to wash the dishes!), hear stories about what danish vet-freshmen do on their motivation week (!!), or try to not get your hair eaten by Vivi's cats (I just loved that cats!). After the voluminous meal we have fitted into our stomachs, I really don't know how I managed to cycle up to Tina's place, where I stayed while being in CPH. Yes, "up to", I lived on the only existing hill in Denmark!! And I think this is a good time to say a big THANKYOU to Tina, for letting me stay at her place, drive her bike, (almost) burn her kitchen and other nice stuff like that…

After we were done with the meetings and workshops, all the decent people went home, but me and Boris abused Danish hospitality and stayed a little bit longer. Just didn't want to go home. We wanted to see some more of beautiful Copenhagen (and Malmoe too), do some shopping and spend some more time with our great hosts (I'm sure they didn't have anything better to do than to take care of us:)!!

Thanks guys, it was great to see you all in your beautiful town, and it's even better to know we are going to see each other again and again…
